FAQS
Everything You Need
to Know Before You Go
Kenya’s wildlife is remarkable year-round, but the peak season runs from July to October — coinciding with the Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings in the Masai Mara. January to March is an excellent shoulder season with fewer crowds, lower prices, and newborn calves attracting predators. June and November are often overlooked gems with green landscapes and dramatic skies. The Indian Ocean coast is best enjoyed October through March, avoiding the April–June long rains.
Our packages are fully inclusive unless otherwise stated. This covers: airport transfers, all accommodation (lodge or tented camp), all meals from arrival dinner to departure breakfast, game drives in 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs, KWS park and conservancy fees, a dedicated naturalist guide, laundry service at lodges, and 24/7 in-country support. Flights (international and domestic), optional activities (balloon safaris, walking safaris, cultural visits), alcohol, and travel insurance are typically excluded and quoted separately.
For peak Migration season (July–October), we recommend booking 9–12 months in advance the finest camps sell out quickly and Migration-season permits are limited. For other times of year, 3–6 months generally secures your preferred lodges. That said, we do occasionally have late availability and regularly help clients plan trips within 6–8 weeks. Contact us to check current availability. A 30% deposit confirms your safari; the balance is due 60 days before departure.
